K + J is the dynamic musical duo of Kennedy and Jay Newsome. Their vocal and instrumental abilities have made them one of the most talked about duos to hit the Suncoast in years. Specializing in R&B, gospel, praise and worship, pop, jazz and blues, K + J create concerts that amaze and inspire audiences everywhere they perform. With over 6.5 million views and 400K likes, K + J is the latest breakout duo on social media.

K + J’s formative vocal background was with the award winning group Voices of Lee.  They then branched out into performing as a duo, solo and six piece band.  K+J have traveled the world performing at Venues including Carnegie Hall, The Grand Ole Opry, Cannery Ballroom, Mercy Lounge, Riverbend Festival, Knoxville Museum of Art, Thompson Boling Arena, Hyatt Place Rooftop, Cleveland Country Club, Free Chapel Church, Houston’s First Baptist, Gateway Church, Cornerstone Church, Christ Church Nashville, Times Square Church and many more.  

K+J have shared the stage and studio with Jordan Smith (winner of The Voice), Bill Gaither, Gaither Vocal Band, Rascal Flatts, Larnell Harris, Guy Penrod, The Martin’s, Avalon, The Issacs, Charity Gayle, Clark Beckham (runner up American Idol), Yebba, Gordon Mote, Adam Hawley and Teja Veal.  They are seasoned professional performers and currently are the music and worship pastors at Grace Community Church in Sarasota, FL.
