Accomplished pianist, guitarist and Beatboxing phenom.
Dany Stasolla, better known as “The Mystical Martian,” has been a live performer since he was 10 and has always been able to pull in a crowd, no matter where he is. At the age of 12 years old he won his first musical award as a finalist in the Harvester’s Piano competition in Massachusetts. He has also performed across the country, in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Ohio, Utah, Colorado, Nevada, California, Arizona, & Florida, at festivals, concerts, radio stations and TV. His musical versatility allows him to accompany artists of all styles, from Hip Hop to Jazz to Dubstep, and everything in between. He is often seen using a loop pedal to build vocal arrangements live. He’s also one of the few musical artists who can play piano while beatboxing at a professional level.
During his studies at UVU, he was a founding member of VoiceLine, a 9 man acapella group. His beatboxing provided the rhythmic foundation for their vocal harmonies for their first 3 semesters. He also performed as part of Dancing Under the Stars at the Scera Shell, alongside nationally acclaimed singers and dancers from American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance. He has also been a headlining act at the Green Room at Sundance, accompanying Jordan Humphrey, AI, & Tom Hopkins as an acoustic pop quartet. He earned a 2nd place finish at UVU's Got Talent in 2013 with his beatbox piano remix of Cry Me a River. In 2013, he founded Utah Beatbox Association, the first beatboxing community in the state. He set up beatboxing concerts, lessons, and a network to allow local talent to perform together and grow as artists. In 2014, he was selected as the honorary performer of his graduating class at UVU Woodbury School of Business. In 2016 he performed alongside Burn L Washburn at the sold-out Twilight Concert series in Salt Lake City. In 2017, he competed in the first Utah Beatbox Battle Championship and won, becoming #1 in state.
He moved to Los Angeles in 2019, to broaden his musical reach and challenge himself as an artist. There he performed alongside artists like GeometrickFX, Roblez the One, and April Henry. He quickly became a favorite performer among LA’s underground hip-hop scene, often requested as the backing beatboxer in freestyle rap cyphers. He was even able to break into the Hollywood Rock scene by performing at the Viper Room and Kibitz Lounge as a rare beatboxing act. Most recently, he’s been performing across SW Florida, building a loyal cult following.
