Tasha enjoys singing and connecting the tunes to stories, using her harps in non-conventional ways to entertain the audience and break down walls that can sometimes occur in classical settings.
Tasha Robinson has played the harp for the last 35 years. She has trained at the Cincinnati Conservatory, University of Toronto and the Glenn Gould Professional School. Tasha has performed throughout the United States and Canada.
In the last 2 years, Tasha has sold out both of her shows at Selby Botanical Gardens. These shows featured her on all three Harps, celtic, acoustic and electroacoustic. Tasha plays for the National Orchestra of the Dominican Republic, Punta Gorda Symphony and the Gulf Coast Symphony of Ft. Meyers.
Tasha especially loved sharing in performing the Nutcracker with the Miami City Ballet and Gulf Coast Symphony. Tasha has been the principal harpist with the Ocala Symphony for over a decade.
Tasha performs on a variety of harps. She has a Lyon and Healy Style 23 which is a 47-string acoustic concert harp used primarily for orchestral and chamber venues. She also has a 36-string Triplett Celtic harp which she uses for teaching and Celtic music venues. Her favorite newest harp is a Rainbow finish Salvi 47-string electroacoustic harp. This harp is made for large venues and each individual string has its very own pick-up microphone. The finish is an iridescent color and is aqua, purple or blue depending on the lighting behind it or on it.
Tasha’s passion is to share her harps through singing and storytelling. She has shared these shows with many different venues from Sarasota, Florida to as far as San Antonio, Texas and Savannah, Georgia.
